Dedicated

Dedication.
ded·i·ca·tion
(děd'ĭ-kā'shən)
n.

  1. The act of dedicating or the state of being dedicated.

  2. A note prefixed to a literary, artistic, or musical composition dedicating it to someone in token of affection or esteem.

  3. A rite or ceremony of dedicating.

  4. Selfless devotion: served the public with dedication and integrity.

I used the lava beads and the green serpentine that I found at the antique fair. They both pair beautifully with this handmade pendant by Michele of Gabriel.

I used teal Czech glass squares with a faceted garnet nugget, tiny faceted deep red seed beads (Charlottes) brass wire, a patinated brass sand dollar (Patina Queen) and a handmade shell button from Chinook Jewelry.

These were both so fun to make. The bracelet especially. I love the teal and red combination. The red seed beads are much deeper in color than they are showing in the photograph. I found them in an Etsy shop [GSBoutique] and had to have them.

I'm playing around with the idea of branching out, opening my own website. I wanted to know how people felt about buying directly from a website as opposed to using Etsy. Please answer the poll at the LEFT... you can choose more than one answer. So far it's giving me a good idea of how people view internet shopping. I think most people are okay with it. But shoppers may be more apt to buy on Etsy thinking it's a more safe place to shop. If you have any comments, I'd love to hear them.
I definitely think I'll keep the Etsy shop open and maybe move my more technical and pricier items to the website. These are all really just thoughts flying around my head right now. I'm still on the fence. Seems like a big scary step.
I'm gearing up for a sale at my Etsy shop. I'd like to try to clear out some older items. More on that later.
Hope you all have a good Tuesday.

  1. I'm a fearless online shopper. I say go for it. Open your own site!

I've always wanted to do the same but my worry is traffic. Would I get enough traffic & sales to justify the cost of hiring someone to set up a site?

    Love that necklace!!! It's gorgeous!

Check out this website I just found out about. It's websites for artists and designers! www.artisansaccomplice.com

There's even some bead-makers on there. You might find some new beads! I'm thinking about doing it as soon as I have some product! :P

Oh, and check out my latest post. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

I'm sorry to have to turn on the word verification here, but I got fed up with spammers comments!
