One more Day

Above set available in my shop.

One more day at the office and then I am off to NYC! Yippee! I'm looking forward to this trip... which is rare. NYC normally makes me a little schizophrenic. I'm not sure why, maybe it's the fact that you have run a lot...run across the street, run to catch the subway, run to catch the train, run run run run. I'm not a runner, people! I like my little quiet street, in my little quaint village where I never have to run anywhere but to the ice cream store.
BUT I have a new travel buddy. Nancy of RoundRabbit is joining me on this little getaway and that's so fun! A beady friend to enjoy Mexican food (Burrito Loco here we come!) with and someone to go to Metalliferous with...who won't get impatient after 10 minutes of bead shopping.... And someone to enjoy the sights with! I've been to NY by myself before. It's not fun. At all. So thank you Nancy for coming with me!

Worked on a few things in the studio last night. A customer ordered a pair of my earrings (these), and wanted a matching necklace. I used more of Jenn's (BlueSeraphim) speckled lamp work glass wheels and some bronze Czech glass melons. (which are a staple in my beady stash by the way. I can't get enough of them, and also the bronze Czech glass rondelles that I use. Mmmm love em!) I also created the set you see at the top of this post. A lovely brown and red bracelet and earrings set that's now listed in the shop.

I read Nancy's blog just before this one and I have to say I'm soooo jealous! NYC! I've never been, but would love to go, but am scared to death of it. LOL

Have a fun trip and I'll look forward to reading both your blogs when you get back.

  5. Whoa! that is fast!!!!

I haven't been to the bead shop above. But I was in NYC last year and I think I found a bunch of bead shops around 37th and 5th (or it could've been 34th?).

Hope you have a blast! I expect an update when you get back!

I'm sorry to have to turn on the word verification here, but I got fed up with spammers comments!
