Thursday= Out of the Office

Hello! Surprised to see me again today??
I'm blogging tonight and posting pics and listing new etsy bracelets because tomorrow I'll be out of the office all day and leaving bright and early at the crack of dawn to head to Boston for the day for work. I won't have time to do any of this in the morning like I usually do over my morning java.
What a long day at work today. Was feeling deflated and down, and a little bit blue until I talked to my friend Lynn Davis. Thanks Lynn for the chat and for the encouragement and the inspiration. I went right to work after our chat and came up with a couple of great bracelets. 2 of which were made before. Oldies but goodies.

And the third, focuses on some awesome fine silver chain that I received from Lynn a long time ago.
I'm telling ya. I have a problem hoarding things. Well it's time to let it go. I paired her chain with a silver bird charm (Wynwood's) and some ceramic rounds from Keith O'Connor. I dangled wire-wrapped jade, czech glass, and white seeds off the small rings within the chain links. Lynn was clever and added a hook clasp right onto the end of this linkage. Made it so easy to finish the piece off. Thank you everyone for all of your comments on today's post about my Christmas house. It feels so good to hear that the hard work decorating paid off. I really love my house and hope it comes across that way when I blog about it. The pictures I took this morning had a natural warm glow that I hardly had to alter on the computer before posting them! I was impressed. It created a nice mood. Hope everyone has a great Thursday tomorrow. (today, if you're reading this on Thursday!) I'll be back on Friday with the winner of Cindy Hoo's Mulled Spice earring giveaway. What am I talking about, you ask?? Read here to find out how to play along.

  1. I totally understand the hoarding issue- I have so many things that I just can't commit to using!

  2. Hi Mellisa!
    Thanks so much for stopping!
    I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one that is a hoarder. It's really bad sometimes. I've hurt people's feelings by not using their beads right away when I get them but it's not intentional. I just have to hang onto things a while and let the ideas brew for a while. ;)

  4. I'm a hoarder too. I'm so bad about hoarding I won't even show my beads to anyone. In fact I've hidden them...now how's that for being bad?

  6. I can so relate to your hoarding problem. I am always worried if I use something in a piece I will later come across something that it would have been "perfect" for. But your bracelet is just beautiful! You did a fabulous job pairing everything.
