Got the Monday Blues

The weekend is over. Booo!! Hisssss!! It flew by like it normally does. Not enough days in a weekend in my opinion. I think every weekend should have at least 3 days. That would be manageable.

My weekend was busy. Joe's mom and sister were in town Saturday night. They came up to go to northern NY for Joe's Grandmother's funeral. I was, for the first time ever, able to cook for my mother-in-law. I know it seems strange, after 10 years together, I just never had the opportunity before. So I made Filippino Pork and Noodle soup. It's a Sam the Cooking Guy recipe. And it's one of my favorites. It was huge hit and now she knows that I really can actually cook edible food. So bonus, all around!

I worked on a book project yesterday but did get some time to do up a few bracelets for my Etsy shop. Necklaces aren't really selling lately so I've been concentrating on earrings and bracelets.

Remember, there are still some items on sale in my shop and they are buy one get one 50% off! Check it out!

  1. Very nice bracelets! What's really funny is I have that recipe in my "need to try this soon" pile. Was it good?

  2. YES! It's so good. We alter the recipe and eliminate the Cilantro and the lime. And it's still fabulous! You've gotta try it. Let me know what you think of it.

  6. Love the bracelets, Lorelei! I know what you mean about not getting the opportunity to cook for the in-laws. I'm the same way too, we always travel to the parents. The parents don't really travel to us! Thanks for the recipe, I'm always on the look out for good ones!

  7. Hi Lorelei, those ceramic beads are very friendly-looking, like they just want me to touch them. Love the earthy tones here! :)

I'm sorry to have to turn on the word verification here, but I got fed up with spammers comments!
