The Ultimate Saturday

Yesterday, was the best. I drove to Rochester.
With 2 things on my agenda.

1. Meet in person, KERRY BOGERT! You know Kerry, she has several of pieces in Wire Style ! You know, KABS CONCEPTS!!

2. Pick up amazingly cool Printers Cabinet. If you see my on Facebook, last week you would have seen me talk
ing about this great find.

I didn't find it. Kerry did. And she was nice enough to give me the heads up. What can I say, it was love at first site. (the cabinet- is the ultimate in bead storage) I know I know.
I'm so freakin' lucky.

Here's the cabinet-- It's so incredible. And a heavy M'F'er.

It was at this super small, really great antique shop. I'm not telling you any more than that. I'm keeping my eye on this place for future goodies.

So we met up at the shop, wheeled and dealed for the cabinet, loaded it into the back of my rig, and off we jetted for an afternoon of fun.

17 drawers - room for thousands of beads.

First stop- LUNCH. At AJA Noodle. Yumm! I had the pad thai with chicken and it was outstanding.
Then we stopped in at this HUGE bead shop, Let's Bead. Talk about overwhelming. I would have loved to take pictures inside, but I couldn't even see straight due to all the pretty distracting beads. I bought a few things, of course!

Picked up some cool Bottle cap beads (Glass Garden Beads), and a couple of ceramic pairs from Golem Studios, and Kerry helped me pick out a couple of strands of glass beads, that interestingly enough, coordinate with all the beads I bought! Thanks Kerry!

We also stopped in at Antiques and ALL THAT JAZZ - a very hip antique mall with a bazillion vendors, and I splurged on some beautiful antique buttons.

Kerry and I stopped in at her house, and I got to meet her adorable family and see up close and personal: her recent antique finds, the newly painted guest room, her totally spotless studio space, and also got a little glass lesson. ;)

This morning, I had some fun organizing my beads into the drawers of my new cabinet. I also put the studio back together, and hung some pictures up. I'll show pics of the studio tomorrow.

This pic is for Kerry, here's some color organization!

Such a fun day and it was awesome meeting Kerry. And I owe her the moon for finding me that cabinet! I'm looking forward to my next visit!
