Back from Philadelphia
I'm back home again! I had a nice trip to Philadelphia I arrived at about 10:30am on Monday, checked into my hotel, and then wandered aimlessly for a while before I settled in for the evening in my hotel room. Ordered some room service and enjoyed some tv in my room, and got a good nights rest.
Wednesday I arrived the museum to assist in the packing up of our painting on loan there. All went well and then Beth picked me up and we headed down to South Street where we enjoyed an awesome lunch at Las Bugambilias. We proceeded to Beadworks to check out their new location. It was quite a bit smaller than their last location. I ended up with some good wood strands, and a few loose yellow stones.
We continued walking around and found a nice little cafe where we had some coffee/tea, and chatted outside at a table. Philadelphia is such a nice city.
We stumbled upon this building that was completely covered with glass and ceramic mosaic pieces. It was the coolest thing, and a bit hard to photograph.
Beth dropped me back off at my hotel, and I did a little shopping up and down Walnut Street. And then settled back into my hotel for dinner and tv. I ended up watching one of the Adventures of the Travelling pants movies, not sure which one it was but it was entertaining nonetheless.
Wednesday morning I arrived at the hotel, loaded myself and the painting on the truck and road back to Utica! It's good to be home. I got so many great goodies in the mail while I was away. New buttons and charms from MamacitaBeadworks, some lampwork glass from Magda, and some strands of stones from JM Imports! Carnelian, garnet, amethyst, crystal quartz, citrine, and aventurine! They are really beautiful and I would definitely recommend them to people shopping for inexpensive stones.
