Weekend Update and announcing a sale!

Happy Saturday! I'm in Connecticut. I didn't think I would have time to blog but turns out I have lots of time and what better way to spend with my morning coffee!

I realized the other day I never talked about how my doctors appts went. The first appointment with the cardiologist didn't reveal any new news. They are happy to hear that I haven't had any other episodes since I was in the hospital. But next week they want to hook me up to a heart monitor for 24 hours just to make sure there aren't any spikes that maybe I am not realizing. Otherwise, I'm still taking the beta blocker which to be honest, I'm not all that impressed with how it makes me feel. Really heavy headed, lethargic. So, I've switched from taking it in the morning, to taking it in the evening and that seems to have helped a lot. The second appt was with my regular physician. She just wanted to hear what had happened and she's a good one to ask questions to. But basically I learned a few things. This Atrial Fibulation (or whatever it's called) is pretty much something that I'll have for life. The meds will continue forever. They hope that they won't have to put me on a blood thinner. The chances are very low that I'll have an episode while on the beta blocker. If it happens again, I need to immediately go to the hospital. THIS was the most distressing news. I pray every day that I Don't have to go back to the hospital. I just totally hated it. I know it's necessary but I still hated it.
so that's it in a nutshell.
PITA!

  2. Well, this is not about the sale, but I wanted to tell you a story about the necklace that I just got from you.

My plan was to give this to my daughter Kathryn for her birthday in October. This seemed like a very good idea because the necklace I got from you earlier now lives in her room, and I get to enjoy seeing it on her.

Anyway, when the lovely new necklace arrived (right before vacation) I was thrilled, but I reluctantly tucked it away to save for Kat's birthday. My resolve ended yesterday morning, however, when I decided that I really needed that necklace and I put it before going to work.

Minutes later, Kathryn came downstairs and saw me. "OOOOOOOOH!" she said immediately. She has assured me that she is going to "borrow" that necklace, but not to worry - I can find it in her room when I want to wear it.

  4. So happy your ticker problem is something manageable. Like Alison I have not seen that bracelet I purchased a while ago, I bet it is in my teenage daughter's jewelry box.

  5. Thank goodness for modern medicine! Here's to not having to ever see the inside of a hospital! The halter monitor is not very fun either but at least it isn't a stay in the hospital! Enjoy your weekend!
