A new twist for Bead cones
Who says you have to use bead cones on multi-strand necklaces? Why not try to use them in an unconventional way. For example, in this necklace, I feature Elaine Ray's glazed cones in the front of the necklace, strung like beads on beading wire, with a big ceramic barrel in the center (from MA Carroll) along with some bronzite rounds and lampwork spacers (Studio Rent).
I really like this one! Is it for sale?

Lorelei I was wondering if the neclace with blue buttons and a bird pendant in your recent photos was listed on ETSY and I missed it or if will it be listed. I love it. And I must say again the blue bracelet for Tamera was AWESOME !!
ReplyDeleteP.s. A lady that I work with grew up in Whitesboro Ny. She said you would know where that is. Have a nice evening. Mel Mel
Hi MelMel-
ReplyDeleteThat necklace was a custom order for one of my customers. I will make another similar to it... but I'm not sure when. maybe tonight. I have to watch the Big Brother finale so I could wire wrap while I'm doing it. stay tuned for tomorrow morning...
I tried this once with silver, but it kept gapping (if that makes sense) -- yours is so much better. LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bead cones.
ReplyDeleteIn London go to the Tate and don't miss the JMW Turner paintings.
Beautifu!!!! I love the rich earthy colors. Your customer will be delighted with the piece.
ReplyDeleteLorelei,
ReplyDeleteWow! The colors, the shapes, the clay and metal play. Everything comes together so wonderfully. I also like the way the raven is standing guard on one of the beads - he is not going to let anyone walk away with his treasure!
- Elaine Ray
Thanks Elaine!
ReplyDeleteYes that was a little happy accident that I didn't realize until I was editing the pictures. The placement of that bird couldn't be more perfect!!
