The results of a day in the studio

P1018876 This first piece may look simple but the asymmetry of it sings to me. The green vintage button at the top left, was transformed into a fancy hook clasp, completely on the back and invisible. Simple loops of carved amazonite, pressed glass, and a faceted green jade round pull out the colors from the Jade Scott pendant. The little pewter Mamacita Beadworks button was wired inside of the large Vintaj Brass jump ring. Solid cable chain continues up the right side.

Celebrating the last days of summer, this bracelet was created around the sunflower clasp from my friends at Green Girl Studios. I used brown waxed linen cording and hand-tied red bahay seeds, silver spacers, a Jubilee ceramic flower, Frosted green lampworked ring from Cindy Gimbrone, and a pale blue transparent lampwork round in the center from Loupiac, an orange and red fancy encased lampwork bead from The Orange Bell, and a faceted Pacific Blue faceted Swarovski crystal.

This new owl bracelet was created in the same fashion as a previous DREAM bracelet that I made a while back. Dream bead and owl bead are both from Diane Hawkey. The Lampwork glass bead is from Magdelena Ruiz. Thai silver round, bead caps, and ceramic green round- all wire wrapped onto galvanized steel wire. I hand-crafted the heart clasp out of steel wire and then hammered it on the block to strengthen it.

This bracelet was made for one of my customers. Tamera sent me these beautiful lampworked glass rounds and bicones, from Picking Weeds. I added a lampwork glass bead in the center from April of Bos Beads. The large ceramic ring is from my friend Nancy at Round Rabbit. I added on a cool clasp from Tim Holtz that hooks onto the ceramic ring.

Holding onto memories of my days at the beach this summer, here is an ocean inspired necklace that features a ceramic pendant from Erin of Every Heart Crafts. Teal pearls, glass drops, metallic painted wood rounds, a Picking Weeds lampwork round, chips of agate up around the back, a really cool Sting Ray clasp from LeAnn Hartman, fire tree seeds, pealr sticks and a burgundy coin pearl. Asymmetrical design and beautiful calming colors make this piece a fun and funky addition to anyone's jewelry collection.

TGIF. I'm looking forward to the weekend. Aren't you?
