Beading has commenced.

have a sneak peek.
I really have been working on new stuff.
some are manifestations of jewelry of the past.
some are brand new with new beads.
last night i made three more pieces, with uninterrupted ease.
the inspiration is flowing fast and furious.
i should have a whole slew of things for the shop update Monday oct.12.
did you notice, my shop is closed.
and yes, my heart palpitated a little bit when
i emptied it out.
all day yesterday, i kept accidentally clicking
my etsy.
and it kept showing me an empty shop.
and that made me a little sad.
I'm sure it made a few other shoppers sad too.
But hopefully they'll come back again Monday, to see some new stuff.
My plan is to do less shop updates, maybe 1-2 a week instead of daily.
The blogging will continue of course. Daily.
thanks for hanging in there with me, as I go through this weird but needed

  1. I think taking a break from Etsy to make fresh, new pieces is great. And perhaps a good chance to look at some of the older pieces and update them?

  2. Good job! Take that Etsy break and have fun making new things. Change is good.

  3. I can't wait to see your new work!

  4. Agrees stepping back a bit and some refreshment is good for the soul!
Really looking forward to your new peices!

  5. Mmmmm, what a yummy collage of beady goodness! Isn't it nice when the inspiration flows easily?

  6. You never disappoint my dear...and what is that saying? "Absence makes the heart grow fonder"? Surely your brief but necessary absence will make the desire that much greater when you return! Enjoy the day! Erin

  7. Closing the shop temporarily just means that your customer's will be dying of anticipation to see the new stuff on Monday. I can't wait to see it, either!

  8. Fabulous!!! a lot of bright colors!!!! like in my tropical island

  9. Can't wait to see your new creations.

  10. ditto, can't wait to see what you do! glad you're taking care of yourself and finding your own best pace!

  11. Thank you everyone for all of your support. I couldn't do it without you! And thank you Kelley for talking me into doing this shop update thing. I sometimes just need a good kick in the pants!

  12. Oooh, sounds wonderful! BTW, I caught up on my blog reading over the weekend - may I say that your studio setup is simply divine? I love the use of the letterpress boxes.

  13. Look at that great pile of goodies!! I can't wait for Monday.
Hope you have a fantastic week :)

All those beads are lovely. Can't wait to see what you create. I'm hoping to buy one of your great pieces soon.
I'm still trying to get my act together with my shop. Hopefully soon.

  15. If the inspiration is there don't stop til it's gone! Love the little bead collage, makes me eager to see the shop update.

Reinventing is good for the soul - as far as your shop ... even big dept. stores close for facelifting! Don't worry, eveyone will want to come back for the 'opening'.

Marketing idea to create more buzz...offer a 10% discount to the first 1,2,3.. buyers on 'reopening' day?

  17. Hey Sandi!
    Great idea!!
I think I will do that. I'll announce it on my blog.
