  2. OOO Lorelei, This one will be difficult for you to give away with your love of all things "birdy".

I'd love to see a button tutorial -- how to incorporate 2-4 holed buttons into jewelry.

Please put my name in the hat for the little birdies.

But these are much prettier than what I have :-)
I would love to see you use these in a birdhouse themed jewelry ensemble...some of those little house beads, these birds, some nests, and branches, etc, etc. Now....go!

    Enjoy the day!

Absolutely, yes to a tutorial using buttons and also "ring blanks". Your button creations are great!! I would also like to see a tutorial on how to add ribbon to my designs. Maybe someday you do a chart of how much wire to cut based on the sizes of the beads to be wire wrapped.( Wow, sorry that sounds like an enormous project, a good project but really big! ) As always I consider you the bead queen. Love the little birds, I hope they will fly right home to me. Melanie

  25. Your work is awesome.
And it's you, if you have a tutorial won't people just be taught how to make a necklace exactly like yours?
How about showing/telling us how you pick the colors you put together. Cause your really good at that. The colors are ones I wouldn't think of putting together, but when you do, well it's magic! I always think wow those colors look great together, who knew?! YOU DID!
    Thanks for that Lorelei!

  28. I think a GG charm bracelet would be in order. Bird themed of course. Birds, tiny bird houses, nests, etc. Those bird beads are soooooo cute! Tutorials are always good. Something about asymmetrical designing would be great. Something I'm not good at, at all :)

  42. I'd love to see you use them in some sort of a mixed-media piece that maybe incorporated fabric flowers or something anthropologie-like.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I would like to see you use some Green Girl Studios beads in a piece that uses a lot (lot being a relative term) of textiles - fabric, ribbon, yarn, whatever. I think that there is a lot of great potential for these beautiful pewter pieces against something flowing and soft.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'm another fan for a mixed medium tutorials, you do them so effortlessly and I really struggle with them. I would love to pick up some hints from you on how you pick your pieces to use in a project.

Lorelei - I've been collecting buttons since I was a little girl. My grandmother had an abandoned button factory in her backyard. How I wish I still had some of those old blanks. Anyway, a button tutorial would be fun, you are a master! I am now an empty nester and would love to fill my nest with some little birdies! Thanks for the opportunity, Debby iceberg @argolink.net
