New work for the shop

oct25

Yesterday was a blast in Saratoga. I went early and did a little bead shopping at Saratoga Beads. They have a nice selection. It added up quite fast though, as you can imagine. I spent more than I had intended, isn't that always the case? I found some cool beads though, and was happy with my selections. I didn't photograph it all- but I did use a few new things in the pieces above.
These are some new bracelets and earrings that are going into the shop today.
In the bracelet at the left, I used some new glass pearls that were in this cool potato, shape...mauve, pale blue, and sage green. And then the bracelet on the right, I used a really
cool recycled wood bead as the toggle bar. Both of those came from the shopping yesterday.
I also ended up getting a cool ceramic frog pendant, and a handmade copper heart pendant. A couple of strands of Bali glass beads. Some various Czech glass tubes. Some matte finish seaglass type beads...and some of the coolest metal beads from Greece... these are my favorite and I really could have bought the store out!
I then headed over to the restaurant and had a delicious lunch with Beth and George.
After lunch we spent some time walking around downtown Saratoga, went to a couple of shops. It was POURING cats and dogs unfortunately so we were quite drenched by the end. But it
was really nice spending time with them anyway. I wish so badly that they lived closer.
Beth and I get along so well and I could imagine us hanging out or going shopping, or getting
together with our husbands for dinner a few nights a week.
Now if I only I can convince them to move to NY. ;)

  7. Love the colors and materials in these pieces. They almost have a "beachy" vibe, but in a very autumnal way (okay, that made more sense in my head).
