Wandering Spirit

If only you could touch and hold these beads through your screen.
I haven't seen anything like it. They are completely hollow (which yes, I have seen before) and light as feathers.
They  have color like I've never seen. How does Aja do it? I have no idea. But I like it. Whatever she's doing, I really really dig it.

I recommend you taking a stroll through the Wandering Spirit sold section. Aja is on vacation at the moment but be ready to pounce when she returns and relists her beads. I tried putting one of her sets in a treasury last week and the dang things kept selling even before I could post the treasury!!

I'll show you a couple of my favorites...

Drooling, eh?

I knew you would.

  4. I believe Aja uses a process called fuming, you actually heat fine silver in the flame and the fumes from the silver cause that wonderful veining on the ivory. Ivory is a very soft glass so it is quite difficult to make hollows with, Aja has definitely mastered the technique.
That wonderful color palette is so up my alley.

  12. see- these make me kinda NOT want to use them b/c they're so gorgeous that I could only detract from them. This is why i dont use a lot of art beads- the art's already... done. I'd only need to tie this to any piece of string i found in the street and just walk around absorbing the compliments. I'd say- oh, thanks, I made it!
