1300 posts!
This is my 1300th blog post. How crazy is that!? It's amazing I have had 1300 posts of something to say! That's good news. The bad news is, the resin never hardened up and I am 100% sure it's because I listened to my husband who told me a 4:1 ration would be to fill the cup up to 1/8 Dram with hardener and then pour in the Resin to 2 Drams. I don't think that was right. I'll try to do it again, but probably not this week.
So instead I took out my beads. I am doing a barter with D'Arsie and made this lovely for her with some coffee beans and cup from Joan Miller Porcelain. I almost don't want to give it up! It's so stinkin' cute!! Perfect for any coffee lover, such as myself. I am thinking I may need to replicate it again. Maybe one for myself.

ReplyDeleteLove the coffee bean art -- the recipient is going to be thrilled!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 1300 posts!! :)
Congrats on 1300 posts!
ReplyDeleteI like coffe)
Sorry for my "geekyness" but your husband math was definitely wrong. If I understand correct instead of 4:1 ratio it resulted in 16:1 ratio. Well!
ReplyDeleteThe coffee beans are wonderful. I once made some with polymer clay but to put it together with the cup in the bracelet was genius. Congrats on the 1300 post!
OMG that bracelet is ADORABLE!
ReplyDeleteIf you poured 1/8 dram of hardner, then you would need to add resin to the 5/8 mark. You did a 15:1 ratio. I've found that the best way to get bubbles out is to use a direct flame from a lighter. Let the flame touch the bubble until it disappears. I have never heard of ecopoxy...I will have to research it to see what the difference is from ICE resin. Good luck, if you try again!
ReplyDeleteWow, 1300 posts! Amazing! Congrats! I'm a tea drinker--no coffee for me, but I still think your bracelet is way cute!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 1300 post. The coffee set is too damn cute. I love coffee I drink it all day. I may have to purchase some of my own. They are so sweet.
