New beads from Doreen Willey- she is the mastermind behind these lovelies! Couldn't you just eat them! Believe it or not, they are polymer clay. I have no idea how she gets that sandblasted texture but it is outstanding. I am looking forward to hoarding these for a little while, and then I'll use them- it might be a while.
These are GORGEOUS! I thought they were felted beads before I read your description. Think I'd hoard them, too.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colors and texture. I too thought they were felt beads initially. Going to look her up now.... Thanks Lori

Beautiful! I too thought they were felted!
ReplyDeleteSO cool I too thought they were felt and had to read that twice to let it sink in!
ReplyDeleteI am simply amazed at how different everyone's polymer clay work is from one another. These are so unusual and lovely.
ReplyDeleteI too thought felt and then closeup thought maybe handmade paper pulp beads, incredible and beautiful, I think I'd keep them too!
ReplyDeleteI am for hoarding too! I will have to go look at her work too. Can't wait to see what you will do with them! Beautiful picture.
ReplyDeleteI want your camera! Lovely picture of those!
ReplyDeleteFantastic colors! For a split second I thought they were 'crab floats'! :)
ReplyDeleteWow - at first I thought they were textile beads, I would never have thought polymer. You are going to have so much fun with those beads!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful beads. Hurray for polymer clay and Doreen!
ReplyDeletelove.love.love! I can so see these paired with some leather cording. Can't wait to see how you incorporate these little pretties into your work Lorelei :) ENJOY
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, these are just stunning! What beautiful beads...can't wait to see what you come up with for these!
ReplyDeleteSurprised to hear that those are polymer clay beads. Super cool, too bad I can't feel them cause I am kind of obsessed with texture.
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting a Macro lens for quite sometime. For now I use the Macro setting on my camera but a lens that would allow me to get 300x closer and see all the nicks and groves of things would be awesome.
These are just AMAZING!! Thanks Lorelei for sharing a very cool macro shot of them!
ReplyDeleteWow those are awesome! I love the texture too. I am so excited by what amazing things people are doing with polymer these days!
ReplyDeletethey look like candy! nice!
ReplyDeleteHere's another person who thought they were felt! The colors are amazing!
ReplyDeleteThose beads are fantabulous! I wouldn't blame you at all for keeping them for yourself...
ReplyDeleteVery neat. I have some similar ones from a different
ReplyDeleteEtsy vendor and I always wonder how they get that texture, too.
