BTW What's on this Bead Table?
Not a whole heckaofalot! I got distracted yesterday as I was too busy enjoying the new outdoor fireplace Joe installed - He created a nice circular pea gravel area lined with bricks in our side yard- just down from the pergola. We went last night to Lowe's and found a great deal on these chairs. Next on the docket, a coupla tables and we'll be ready to entertain. Actually a few neighbors came over and enjoyed the first fire with us last night.
Now this, is actually what's on my table right now. I can't take credit for this design, it's one from my friend and co-author Erin Siegel. Now I had this Kylie Parry button for awhile. I know I wanted it to be the focal and this design worked out best with the 4 strands of seed beaded waxed linen. Now all I have to do is convince Erin to talk me through the finishing part once I get the button loop all knotted. I really am looking forward to our book coming out so I can finally master this cool technique!

Your husband does such a wonderful job with everything he touches~that looks really wonderful!! Love the bracelet Erin made, she always has her own elegant touch..
ReplyDeleteI am also waiting patiently for the book. You and Erin have such great pieces, I'm stoked to learn the craft.
ReplyDeleteI love how the owl looks with the knot and threads sticking out. Kind of a warrior or tiki feel to it.
ReplyDeleteI love your outside area! So very nice and relaxing looking, even with out the table ;) And that's a sweet bracelet! Kylie Perry's stuff is definitely on my "must covet" list...and like everyone else, can't wait for the book to come out!
ReplyDeleteLove your outside relaxation area! It looks fantastic! I'm so frustrated with my yard right now - I'm totally ready to just pave the whole thing over! I've had multiple sprinkler leaks going on for almost a month now...every time I fix one, something else breaks. I'm going to pave mine over and just visit you instead LOL!
ReplyDeleteWhen does your book come out?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the mention today, Love! I really do appreciate that sooo much. That's a perfect bracelet design for a big button like that. Love your version. I'll help you anytime, just ask away! I do suggest next time you make one of these, to start at the loop end first. Makes it easier to finish off. We can make one of these at Bead Fest if you want and I can show you! Yay! Can't wait to see yyyyyooouuu! Oh, and the yard looks fantastic. That man of yours is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI live in Oklahoma and it's 115 degrees outside. The fireplace looks hot but inviting! I love the bracelet, love Kylie Parry beads and buttons.
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to finish a bracelet with that technique for about a week. I keep tying it and untying...
