Rain Down on Me

I can describe the necklace above in one word. "Emotional". I created it last night while in the midst of an emotional meltdown. I won't bore you with the details. Rain Down on Me is an appropriate title and I am waiting for the rain to wash away the pain and sadness that I am feeling right now.

But on a positive note. It's cute, right? Like totally Spring-Fever Meets Dancing in the Rain, Meets Bloomed Flowers and the Promise of Good Things to come.

Cheers to turning the frown upside down.

  2. I'm sorry you are going through such a hard time. Be careful about channeling your feelings too much in your jewelry, some of us out there, pick up on the vibes of the person who made it when we wear it. Crazy right?
It's beautiful of course, the tear drop beads are perfect for the piece!!
Feel better soon, huge hugs from Canada <3

  4. I'm so sorry it is borne of such sadness but it is beautiful. Art and creating can be so cathartic. I hope it was so for you, even a little.

  5. It's an awesome necklace - the drops look just like giant drops of rain falling around the umbrella :o)

And, it's awesome that you were able to create something this pretty while in the midst of an emotional meltdown..that takes true talent and skill :o)

    *hugs*

Good Things will come....they always do. Sometimes it is hard to wait for them but makes them all the sweeter.

  9. This is adorable, Lorelei! Hope you are feeling soon. One thing about the rain, it doesn't take long for a rainbow to appear. Hoping your rainbow appears quite soon with good things to come and strength coming out of the storm. ((HUGS))

  11. It's super cute :) I love the "rain" beads. They're making me think of 'chubby rain' from the hilarious movie Bowfinger.

    Hope you're feeling better soon!

  14. I just love this necklace--the little drops are sweet! I purchased one of these adorable pendants a long time ago but have yet to use it. I'm afraid to let go of it!

I hope your week gets better!

  15. I have to say I LOVE conceptual pieces that work. And this really, really works. I love wondering if you had the idea for the raindrops before picking these beads, or if the necklace really came together *because* of these raindrop beads. They are the most perfect raindrop beads I've ever seen! Plus, the whole color palette, etc. Lovely!

  16. I wonder if that is contagious? I had a major meltdown earlier this week myself. Next thing I know I had tons of resin birds, branches, and leaves on my bead table. No cool raindrops, though. We gotta quit passing these things around:)
