February Art Bead Scene Challenge

I will be entering this beauty into the Art Bead Scene monthly challenge!  Have you entered your designs yet? You've got lots of time, the deadline is Feb. 29. This month's painting is a page from a manuscript. The peacock stands right out for me, in this piece.

  1. Lovely, colorful piece! I have been mulling this challenge over in my mind, considering the bird beads in my stash, wondering what and when Heather Powers will ship for the Disk Bead of the Month Club this month, looking at Erin's Etsy treasury for the challenge. Decisions, decisions!

  2. Love that color combo! So pretty!

What a beautiful piece. I love the bird! Your nailed the color palette.

  4. I'm planning on making something - I was inspired by the peacock too, of course!

  5. This is a lovely necklace, Lorelei. The colors are so rich, almost royal.

  6. What a gorgeous piece- I like how you used the fabric to inspire your design. Your focal bead has such a luscious color to it.
I also like the purple cording/ribbon that you used in combination. Good luck in the challenge.

  7. LOVELY! The color of that ribbon... DROOL!

I think I may make this my first go at the ABS challenge. I'm in love with manuscript illustrations and this one is especially lovely.

  8. Super pretty! Love the color, and the focal, and how you used the lampwork. I just luvs it, that's all.

  9. I love the rich colors in this piece! That peacock pendant is gorgeous, and I love the lampwork bead.

I haven't entered an ABS challenge since October, and I need to get in gear. But I'm having some trouble coming up with a design idea for this month.

  10. Deep plum and brass/bronze. Wonderful combo. Thumbs up!

  11. Gorgeous, as usual! I LOVE that deep purple ribbon, it makes the focal bead stand out, yet complements it at the same time. I love your work so much!

  12. Yummy! The colors are so fabulously saturated and rich -- and I do love purples and blues like this. Mmmmmm....
