Sneak Peek
I have been taking advantage of Picnik as much as I have before they close their internet doors in April. It's so sad, really. I have loved being able to use this program for photo editing. And I haven't even really played with all of the features. Like this pic above. This is a sneak peek of my Pinwheel piece for tomorrow's Jade Scott Pinwheel challenge. (Come back to the blog tomorrow to see the real deal. ) The HSL Filter in the Effects, changes up the colors and then the Hypnotic effect gives the pic this trippy kaleidoscope effect.
Then the pic below I played around again with the HSL Filter, giving one necklace 4 different colorful looks. FUN!
Giveaway Alert!
I am participating in the Valentine's Earring Giveaway at Everyday-Earrings! Check it out!
I am heartbroken over Picnik going away...have you found a replacement, or do you think it will be coming back even better after Google gets done with it? I have photoshop, but its so much easier to use Picnik...and fun, looking at what you accomplished here!
ReplyDeleteI'm bummed about Picnik too! :-( I didn't know you could do such cool color changes. And....I hopped right on over to Earrings Everyday to sign up for the giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteI never got a chance to use picnik but I was planning to just before I heard the bad news. I do hope they come back because it sounds amazing!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing the results of the pinwheel challenge. And I have just entered the earring giveaway.
Have a wonderful day!
Does anyone know of another free photo program online? I am bummed too about Picnik.
ReplyDeletePicnik was so easy to use, I love it and will be very sad when it closes down. Hope you're having a great Valentine's Day!

Yep, I hate that Picnik is going away. And they were kinda vague as to why, at least I thought so.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cool effect! I will miss Picnik too, but I never really used it all that much. I was surprised that they refunded every penny I paid for the subscription. That was very cool of them to do. I read somewhere that there is something called Google+Creative Kit. I haven't used it though. But I have seen Pixlr.com and that looks like fun! I will have to try it out. Looking forward to your reveal. Those pinwheels are so sweet.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the day.
