That's a great tip and technique! I don't think I would have thought of that. Love those felted balls. They add wonderful texture and color. Your necklace came out so cute!
That necklace almost made my heart stop. The colored felt beads with your gorgeous bead caps against the neutral wood carved beads are fab but then you go and add that ceramic bead and kick it up another 50 notches. And, thanks for the vlog on how to string the felt beads. I have a bunch and wondered about that.
Very pretty! I don't know why my customers don't groove on felt, but luckily a boutique yarn store (they only sell hand-spun or hand-painted yarns) takes them.
Another way to string felted beads is to use a sewing or embroidering needle with a large eye, and thread your beading wire through it. Once through the eye, fold about two-three inches of wire over holding it against the needle as you string beads.
This is fantastic! I actually came to see if you mentioned the stupid move the guys made on survivor last week. ha. I am loving the tutorials! Yay. Keep 'em coming.
THose end caps really make those felted beads pop!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to make the felted beads stand out. I've gotten a few felted beads and wasn't sure what to do with them, but this is a great idea.
