One Crayon Color Challenge
Welcome to Sally Russick's One Crayon Color Blog hop!! I bet you can't guess what color I picked?! HAAA!
This was NOT a challenge for me. I love working with Green and when I saw the challenge announced on Sally's blog, I had a pretty good idea what beads I'd be using for my finished piece.
Mixing up the Artisan made beads, like I like to do, this necklace is a collaboration between me, Sarah of C Koop Beads, Florence of Loupiac lampwork glass, Pam Wynn, polymer queen, Jean Christen, ceramicist extraordinaire, and Elaine Ray, queen of clay. I used matte glass seed beads, resin rounds, and lucite rounds all in fantastic green tones.
Thank you Sally for such a great blog hop, I hope there is another one of these soon! I am dreaming of
an orange necklace next!

You picked green? No way! ;) This is a really great piece. Very springy and fun. I don't think I'd ever part with that many artbeads in one piece, whew!
ReplyDeleteLove it! and love green and orange. did you see elaine has a new glaze - hubba hubba!
ReplyDeleteGreen is always cooolllll =)
ReplyDeleteWow - this is truly one of your best pieces!! So pleasing to the eye! I only wish I would have kept track of all the suppliers of my beads as you do because to give credit where credit is due is so nice of you. Very cool design!!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, yes!! This is fantastic! You honour the beads you use by combining them into something truly special:) Jane
ReplyDeleteLove the greens. The Pam Wynn beads are awesome. Great design as always. Would love to see what you would do with orange. I think orange is probably one of my hardest colors.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful greens, but I like so many colors that I wouldn't know how to choose a color. Surprised to see how many others challenged themselves with orange, which I consider the most difficult color. I shall enjoy going through the list.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite colour so I'm loving this section of the hop...This is lovely - so vibrant and harmonious and beautifully balanced asymetry of course. Great work.
ReplyDeleteGreens and turquoise never disappoint. This piece is cooling, comforting and vibrantly alive. Well strung!
ReplyDeleteLorelei, your design just exudes happiness! I love the leaf and everything else you added to compliment it! Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic weekend! {Hugs!}
Hi Lorelei,
ReplyDeleteI love your piece it is gorgeous. Green is a favorite color of mine and one I use a lot it has so many beautiful shades.
Therese
Lovely, lovely! I love the mix of greens and the fab focal beads with the blue mixed in! Awesome, fresh piece.
ReplyDeleteI love Pam Wynn's beads! Beautiful necklace. It's so funny, my green bead drawer is full to bursting, but I'm stuck on working with it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! Totally you, and the beads all compliment the next. This is my favorite color combo at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteI knew you would make a fabulous piece, and you didn't disappoint! I love each and every element in this piece. That Elaine Ray bead is just darling, as are the other artist beads. Love the resin and lucite beads too.
ReplyDeleteLorelei, I knew that you would come up with a absolute gorgeous, fresh design!! Beautiful necklace, wonderful beads, your creation makes me love my favorite color even more!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for participating in the crayon challenge, I'm already rolling around another hop idea!! Hope you can join in the next time around too!!
Lorelei what a gorgeous piece and amazing how you brought all those beautiful beads together into a necklace that just flows from one to the next. amazing
ReplyDeleteI have no words. I just love it. As the others said, I knew you would do something amazing, but this just exceeds anything I would have imagined.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a virtuoso-level piece indeed! Great design with beautiful beads.
ReplyDeleteyour bracelet sends waves of coolness and freshness... such a refreshing piece! great job!
ReplyDeleteYou always do such a great job of using artisan beads to create something special -- this is no exception. The leaf focal is a great springtime touch!
ReplyDeleteI have to say that had I participated, green would have been my choice too. I live for green :) Your piece turned out great!
ReplyDeleteYou've done a wonderful job showcasing green...I love your choice of art beads and your necklace design.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Lovely selections. And I had to smile at the illustrated background of the elephant - it really worked, blending into the bright jungle foliage. Is that an illustration from Kipling's Just so Stories?
ReplyDeleteIt IS Kipling! The Jungle Book. :)
DeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteGreen is a color I tend to pick a lot. Love all the different artist beads you created with....my favorite are those made by Pam. All that talent in one piece! WOW!
ReplyDeleteGreat job Lorelei, I always admire your work. I like green a lot but my husband didn't so I didn't wear it much. He passed away last fall so now my green beads & clothing are expanding fast.
ReplyDeleteLike almost all your jewelry, this necklace just f.l.o.w.s. perfectly together. Amazing work as always!
ReplyDeleteHave to comment here again..
