Ocean Oasis

Happy Thursday!
Here is another piece created using those awesome urchin sticks. I really like how this turned out.  it's very light and airy. I did find out the hard way that 4-ply linen cording does not fit into the holes in these beads. Just a heads up. So I had to string this on beading wire.  I used some wood, some pearls, faceted prehnite rounds, and some rust and pale pink seed beads.  The Starfish bead is from Kylie Parry and the pewter starfish toggle is from Green Girl Studios.  This necklace is for sale here.

Come on back to the blog at 1pm eastern standard time to find out who won the beads in the giveaway!

  1. I really like the look of your new website. I love the way you are always exploring and trying new things. One of my favorite things about your designs is the unusual "ingredients" you are able to find and use. You are always surprising me with something I've never seen or would not have thought of. You are very inspiring, Lorelei.

  2. I am a colour junkie. I always love to see how you pull those hues from your feature beads and add great accents I would never consider. Very cool!

  3. The Necklace like most of the presented here is awesome. But the ones made of the Sea are special..they have not compared with anything else Water Breathing effect..
