I am so very sorry to hear about your aunt. I cannot imagine what your family is feeling right now. You had me crying, And when I heard the crack in your voice and the reads flowing, I was balling.. I do hope she finds peace. I believe she will love what you made her. I am very sorry Lorelei. The music you had playing was beautiful.
Cancer sucks, a lot. I am so sorry you are going through this with your Auntie. But just let me say from someone who knows the cancer side, anything at all you do will do will make her heart just that much lighter. When I was at my very lowest, those things I could touch and hold in my hands, run my fingers across, eased my burdens in ways that are so very hard to describe. Maybe that's the whole point. Sometimes words are not enough. Giving her a gift of touch in the prayer beads is so heart felt and loving. It will be like wrapping your arms around her in a big ole hug every time she holds them.
Lorelei - Please know you and yours are in my thoughts and prayers. I cannot imagine the pain you are feeling right now. The prayer beads are an amazing gift that I hope bring your aunt some comfort during this difficult time. Angela Buschmann
I think your gift is perfect. It's so hard to know how to help someone you love when you can't fix the problem. Gifts that are filled with love really do give strength and power. My friends gave me a beautiful blanket when I had surgery for cancer. The blanket came with me to the operating room, and was covering me when I woke up from the surgery. I swear that blanket gave me courage. I'm sure your lovely beads will offer special comfort to your aunt. My thoughts are with you.xxx
I am certain this gift from your heart will be such a blessing to your dear Aunt Caroline. There is great power in these objects... they become a touchstone that joins us in thought and prayer, but also in a tangible link to our loved ones. Your instinct to create this link with your Aunt shows how honest and loving your heart is, Lorelei! I'll be thinking of you both...
So sorry that you are going through this right now. I agree with LeAnn - sometimes words aren't enough. Having been on the receiving end of cancer's wrath way too many times, with it striking out at me; taking both my parents & too, too many others I loved - this gift to your aunt is perfect. So thoughtful & loving. I'm thinking that it might help to make one for yourself - with beads that would help sooth your heart. I'm not sure if she is close to you geographically - but if not, it might help you to have something like that to carry with you during the day. Something that would calm your heart a bit when you feel the texture of the beads & remember her love.
Yes, cancer sucks. It takes our loved ones away and brings fear into our hearts.
I know your sweet, thoughtful gift will bring comfort and strength to your aunt through the difficult days. I hope you are close enough to your aunt to visit often, or at least chat on the phone. I wish for peace in the coming days, and sweet memories of your aunt to comfort you.
I am so sorry to hear about your aunt. Your beads will bring her comfort because they come with such feelings of love for her. You and your aunt are in my thoughts. There is no way around this sadness. I hope our comments give you some comfort.
I am really sorry about your aunt. I understand more than most the struggle she is facing. I am sorry she has chosen to stop treatment. Just know, no matter what happens, she will always be there with you. The love and compassion you have for her is very touching and I send you healing light and love to give you comfort at this time. <3 <3 <3
I'm so sorry Lorelei! Your video was so touching & had me in tears! My mother-in-law just lost her battle with cancer in August. The cancer made her sick, but the chemo & radiation made her more sick. It is so hard to watch someone you love go through that and I know the pain you feel right now. The gift you made her is so very beautiful & I know she will love it! My thoughts are with you, your Aunt and your family. Hugs, Alicia
I am so sorry to hear about your aunt. I completely understand your heartbreak, I lost my Godmother (whom I was very close to) to cancer. There is not a week that goes by that I don't think about her and ask why her?
The gift you made for her is a wonderful sentiment. It is a beautiful reminder of love, strength and courage. You and your aunt are in my thoughts.
my heart is breaking for you both, lorelei..i have a friend whose sister has just made the same choice as your aunt, to have quality rather than quantity in the time she has left...it's a most personal decision that's so painful for those who love her...i can tell you're in deep sadness and i think you're very brave to share yourself with us...be sure there are many "friends" with you and auntie in their thoughts...xo lucia
