Create Your Style with Swarovski Elements

It's not often that I work with Swarovski crystals or pearls, so when the opportunity presents itself, I tend to hop on board! I was recently contacted by a Media rep for Swarovski Elements asking if I'd like to participate in a blog giveaway to help them get the word out about their new line of Create Your Style Swarovski Elements kits. Not only that, but they are launching a pretty cool and FREE app called Color Carousel. The app helps you pick out color combinations using their crystals and pearl colors. It's available for iPhone, iPad, Android Phone and Tablet

They also sent me a kit to play with so I created this necklace using some pretty pearls, and Crystals and metal accent beads. I followed the instructions pretty exactly but you could always play around and craft your own stylish piece using the beads they provide you.

The kits come with everything you need, right down to the wire and crimps! All I needed to complete my project was a some crimping pliers and flush cutters.  The instructions are very nicely illustrated in color so you know what bead goes where. There are also some illustrations on how to crimp the ends, and open and close jump rings. This particular kit also came with some chunky nuggets of Mexican Opal, and some metal accent beads.

Love this particular color palette, as it's soft and feminine and perfect for this holiday season!  Coordinating pearls and crystals in Maroon, Grey, Cream, and Peach... very pretty!

Be sure to check out the Create Your Style facebook page as they are always showing new products, and having fun giveaways there.

And if you are feeling particularly sassy, why not check out their Pinterest contest!!  All you have to do is create your own Pinterest board of at least five pictures of what you see the Colorful world to be. Tag your pinned images with #colorfulworld.  Once your board is created, go to their Sample Board, leave a comment on one of their photos, with a link to your board, and you're ENTERED!
The contest is open to enter until January 6th 2013.

This is the board I created. I am always seeing such inspiring images on Pinterest. It was so easy create a board and I can use this board for my own jewelry inspiration even after the contest is over!
