Once a week (or every few weeks :) ) I'd like to
feature a few of the wonderful artisans who contribute ads on my blog
sidebar! If you would like to include your ad on my blog, email me and I'll give you more details!
I picked some of my favorite listings from these talented ladies' shops and created collages for each. I hope you enjoy these and take a moment to click over to their stores! Happy Shopping!
Gaea Cannady is based out of Ojai California. She is a ceramic artist who dabbles in jewelry design, and wire work as well. You have no doubt seen her work in many beading magazines such as Jewelry Stringing and Belle Armoire Jewelry, just to name a few. You can buy finished pieces, strands of beads, or her wire components from her Etsy shop but if you'd like to see more of her work, be sure to check out her website!
Golem Studio is comprised of a lovely Husband (Vlad) and Wife (Kremena) team out of Bulgaria. They create beautiful and intricate ceramic beads, cabochons, and pendants. You can purchase their work from their website- they have 2 sections: a US section where the items ship from Arizona, or an International section where items ship directly from their studio in Bulgaria. If you are ever wanting to find some jewelry components that are extremely well made, and unique- this is the online venue to check out!! And really you could not meet a nicer couple of people!!
D'arsie Manzella of Mamacita Beadworks is a sassy gal who works with metal! She casts her own designs into buttons, and pendants and beads from her home in NY state. They are made of a nice and weighty pewter, and I use her work quite a bit in my designs because her pieces always add a nice flair to a finished piece. You can find her on Etsy as well as her own website. I am so excited to also show you these- D'Arsie also makes handmade signature tags- and I got my newest tags which aren't tags at all. They are buttons! I chose a Robert Frost quote that I thought would be perfect on a button " The best way out is always through" and my name adorns the back of the button! I can't wait to start using these in my work!
Barbara Lewis is the enameling queen! She has developed many classes and has recently opened up a working shop and studio space in Florida. On her website, you can sign up for her workshops, buy enameling supplies and tools, enameled pendants and sometimes beads, and pick up a copy of her book! If she doesn't have it on the website, I'm sure she can accommodate you if you emailed her! She is also on etsy as well!

ReplyDeleteHave been wanting to ask for awhile about that fabulous dimpled round bead I've seen in many of your pieces - now I know it came from Mamacita. Thanks again for featuring these talented artisans.
