Focusing on Life: 52 Photos- Self Portrait
Okay, so I'm a little late to the party. I signed up late so all I have is this cheeky portrait for you for the first post. Sally Russick of The Studio Sublime is hosting a photo a week challenge, and will be giving us prompts each week. What a fun project, and I have really been wanting to use my camera a bit more for things other than jewelry shots. except. I took this photo with my apple computer. doh! Better luck next week.
The first week is self-portrait. This picture pretty sums up my life the past few days. I am feeling a bit snarky due to the dieting thing.... and have been wearing this wool cap from Gander Mtn. for the past 4 days straight. Which adds to my attitude quite a bit I think. Joe's not too sick of it yet. I may have to retire it tomorrow. And actually do my hair. OK sorry, off topic.
Yea so, self portrait. here it is.
:)
I'm so glad you are playing along. You are so cute in that Gander Mountain cap. Of course I have never seen a bad photo of you, and yes, you do look a little cheeky here.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the diet thing. At least you have a companion to cheer you on.
Beautiful selfportrait. I joined late also. Mine will be posted tonight.
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous shot and I love the cap! I also must investigate taking photos with the computer.. have never done that before!
ReplyDeletejenni
great pic, and love the playful look :O
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful photo of you. Happy 2013
ReplyDeleteI *love* the hat! I'm so happy to see you playing along with us. It's a wonderful picture.
ReplyDeleteLorelei, I love how you captured such emotion(attitude) in this selfie, but your eyes give away a slight sadness. Hope all is well and that you are having a great start to the New Year.
ReplyDeleteI do have to tell you that that hat is the BOMB!! I love it!
You do "cheeky" quite well ;)
ReplyDeleteI do love the attitude that comes across in your self portrait! And the cap. Love the cap too!
ReplyDeleteOh you're bad Lorelei! Haha :-)
ReplyDeleteI almost fell off my chair when I saw this...
ReplyDeleteThis is actually very hard to do. That's why I chose to lie on the floor, use a camera on a tripod, with a clicking shutter cord and soft lighting. Well done you :-)
ReplyDeleteYeah...I love the hat..if I had a hat like that, I doubt I would be taking it off much this winter! Great, sassy photo...
ReplyDeleteEven then I had to Photoshop the crap out of the image because I was really not digging it! Haha :P
ReplyDeleteI am late commenting away all day. Love the hat and the pic. Very you I think. Full of fun and pensive as well.
ReplyDeleteSweet! Love the hat, looks very you. Very flattering to be sure.
ReplyDeleteCute cap... hat's like socks are worn only if I'm about to freeze or get broiled, not an standar accesory! You look very relaxed... not sure how since you probably just jogged accross the room after setting the timer on the camera!
ReplyDeleteLove this pic - you look very sassy and there is a definite air of 'mess with me at your own peril' about it...food and mood are so inextricably linked.
ReplyDeleteHope that this picture is a reflection of your personality, because you look like fun. Now to go check Gander Mountain for hats....
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are joining in on the photo fun! I look forward to seeing where your lens takes you. I know you recently purchased a new camera and this is a great way to explore it! Love the new hat too!
ReplyDeleteI'm even later to the party than you are! Anyway, that's a fabulous hat and it looks great on you. The photo is great, too.
ReplyDeleteGreat hat and photo and when you are on a diet, attitude is mandatory!
ReplyDeleteYou look great! and very happy.
ReplyDeleteCool shot - love the hat and earrings
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that hat :-)
ReplyDeleteHow adorable are you! I love that hat too. . .I would have a rough time retiring it.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're playing along.
