Focusing on Life: Feel the Love
This is Cassius. After losing my 16 yr old brown Tabby last Sunday, we rescued 2 black kittens from a shelter. This guy found me, and was on top of me and I felt the love immediately. His brother dJango isn't as much of a lover, but still super sweet anyway. My heart is healing quickly and the pain lessens each day with each snuggle, and rub of noses. I love these guys.
If you'd like to see where the love is for the other participants, check them out here!
His eyes are amazing! So glad you were able to find these two lucky boys.

One of my cats is a "lap" kitty also, they are so special, love your photo.
ReplyDeleteLook at that face! Clearly he's so proud of himself, knowing he's giving you exactly what you need - so happy for the whole family! Pennie
ReplyDeleteIt's good to know your heart is healing. There will always be a place for Marley there, but I'm so glad the love of those two precious kitties is filling that space where the pain is. {HUGS}
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have found love again. Sweet boy!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful kittens, such shiny coats and bright eyes! Glad to hear you are healing, I'm sure dJango will come around too and share the love, just being a little more cautious in the beginning maybe.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful eyes! He needed you like you needed him.
ReplyDeleteLove his bright and inquisitive eyes! What a wonderful way to help you heal with two kittens to bring love and laughter into the home.
ReplyDeleteWow is he beutiful! How lucky you both (all) are to have found each other:) I bet your other little guy comes around pretty soon too.
ReplyDeleteShelter cats are the best. You are wonderful to have given them a home.
ReplyDeleteA mutual rescue ... I love that. Cassius is a beauty, and I am particularly fond of the white under his mouth that appears in the photo as a beautiful smile! Not only can I feel the love, but I see his joy. So happy for all of you ...
ReplyDeleteI think animals have a definite sense of what we need. So glad you found your two new companions and that at least one of them is a snuggler.
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling!
ReplyDeleteWhen my golden retriever passed away, I held out three entire weeks before I found a new puppy to love. It was an agonizing time, but the rescue puppy brought so much love and happiness! I'm glad you're finding that after such a significant loss. *Hugs.*
oh your marley story was so moving- im so glad to see you with a new warm ball of fuzzy love on your lap!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic photo. May you continue healing as you have these new guys to love.
ReplyDeleteLorelei, He is a STUNNING cat and those eyes! Though I'm so sorry that you lost Marley i'm glad you are able to heal your heart a little with the love and sweetness from the new guys.
ReplyDeleteHe's adorable. I was so sorry to hear about Marley. I am glad that the new kitties are making things easier. I know they will bring so much love to your home.
ReplyDeleteOur pets are so much a part of the family, they can fill our hearts with love and help to heal when we lose one. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you lost your Tabby! but so happy you have given two kitties a 'forever' home! how wonderful that you've all found each other, and you new kitty does look very snuggly
ReplyDeleteI am glad that they found you, and you them. The hole in your heart gets smaller each day. And they are stunning.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you adopted siblings -- they are usually separated and that has to hurt a kitty's heart as much as it would a human. Enjoy your new additions -- Marley would purr with approval, I know!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new kitties, Lorelei! Adoption is a great thing, you needed them and they sure needed love and a good home. I'm glad you all found each other. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's really awesome that you were able to immediately start to fill the space left in your heart with these little sweeties....I love that! All of that love needs a place to go...beautiful shot...
