A few Friday things
A few things you should know....
I added a few more clasps to my webstore. Some cute ones! I really like some of the new tin I've recently got my hands on.
I fell in love with NatureBeads on Etsy today and am contemplating some faux suede and cotton cording for the Jewelry Accord shop, and some Tagua beads for me.
Today in the studio I'm going to try to make a slew of Bracelets. I realized I only have 3 bracelets total in the webstore.
My inspiration will come from these cute Alex & Ani charm bracelets that are all the rage now. I think this one with the beads, is so cute! I can see something like this, with brass and maybe a sweet Jade Scott charm mixed with a few other charms. We'll see how it turns out.

And finally be sure to attend Nancy's update today at
Round Rabbit Extra 12 Noon est.
She's really hit it out of the park with these pendants!
Good morning, Lorelei! So glad you shared a bit about this easy slider bracelets today. I saw them a couple of summers ago at a high end accessory store and immediately thought, "Oh I can do that with memory wire!" Well, maybe I gave up to easily, but I got frustrated trying to make the two wire loops. Either struggled mightily to close the loop or the wire would break off. They are so adorable and I'm ready to give it another try.
ReplyDeleteAny wisdom to share?
I gave up too! I don't have a thick enough gauge wire to make this happen. And I think a bracelet mandrel is key for this design too.
DeleteMemory wire sounds like a good idea but I figured it would be too hard to form the loops on the wire.
Bummer.
