Some Jewels from last week

My color palette of choice last week was teal and purple. Above, I created a necklace with 3 strands of silk cording, and a pewter Koi pendant from Green Girl Studios.  To enhance the cord, I strung some ceramic dotted tubes and lentils, and teal cubes and kept them in place on the cord using small ties of thin 2mm leather cording.

This owl above sold, but this piece turned out pretty. Polymer bicones from Graceful Willow Beads, shiny faceted glass rondelles, and a earthy accent beads such as golden pyrite, faceted opal purple glass, hematite square spacers.

Went with a cute horizontal look for this necklace above. Lisa Peters Art long rectangular tube bead is wire wrapped with a Kylie Parry Owl, wavy discs from Eclectic Prairie, and an organic round from Kylie Parry. The small leaf charm on one side is a nice addition. I used some silk cording, and thin 2mm leather cording with some brass bead cones from Stinky Dog beads at the clasp area.

Inspired by a bracelet I saw in the Sundance catalog, the beaded cording at the right side features some faceted glass beads, and small brass seed beads. Used some simple macrame knotting.
The left side, bunches of glass and brass beads, knotted in between, gives a nice asymmetrical look. I love the bronze button from Judie Mountain. The focal on the bracelet is from Golem studios.

  1. I do like the first one best. You are very creative. I have never seen anything quite like it. So glad I found her blog. I shared this page also with my Twitter followers.
