August Reveal: Pretty Palettes Challenge

I was smitten with the color palette for this month and jumped at another opportunity to participate in the Pretty Palettes Challenge at Halcraft

.....

This month's inspiration photo is this gorgeous scene of a pond laden with lily pads. Soft pinks, browns, greens, and some bling, the collection of beads put together this month were perfect!

Here are the beads we used this month:

I of course, forgot to photograph my beads, and will be sharing Molly's photo here:  THANKS MOLLY!

For this challenge, I created 2 necklaces. The first, a double stranded necklace featuring all of the beads, strung in repeating pattern. The closure, was one from my stash- a porcelain Flower disc from Round Rabbit Extra, and an enameled button from Gardanne Beads.

The button loop was made with deerskin leather, and a Tierra Cast snap Rivet.

The second necklace I created was a single beaded strand, with a gorgeous handmade polymer Lotus flower pendant from Barbara Bechtel that I have hoarded in my stash for many years.  I threw in a Pewter Green Girl Studios bird because well.... I think all jewelry should have one! :)

As always, such a blast to use Bead Gallery beads from Halcraft! If you'd like to see what everyone else has made for the challenge this month, head over there to the Halcraft blog!
And as always, follow their blog to find out what the next challenge will be, and
head to Michael's to pick up the beads so you can share your work with us too!

  3. Lovely! I love the simplicity of the second necklace. And the lotus pendant is right on the money! Great Job!
