Craft show, Day Two
The second day started out quite slow, and didn't seem to pick up until about 2pm! I had my sister there in the morning til 12 and then she took off to head back home. I enjoyed people watching, and made 2 new friends, Kristen- whose booth was on the left, and Kandace on the right. Kristen created the coolest hair accessories, and leather belts that have cool ribbon ties that are interchangeable. Kandace is a super talented young college student potter- her pottery was gorgeous! I think I talked Kandace into creating some ceramic pendants for a bit of a collaboration. And Kristen and I are going to get together to have coffee, and talk about another little collaboration with silk necklaces that have interchangeable charms on them. How fun is that!?
Here is a video shot of my entire set up- hoping you can get a better idea of how I displayed everything. The lead glass window is always a huge hit- especially with the women's husbands that stop by the booth. ;) Everyone really enjoyed my rustic props, and I'm glad I went with this theme. Also got nice comments about being the only table that was raised up higher! Thank goodness Joe finally cut those PVC pipes for me!
Also wanted to give you an idea of what sold and what didn't, so I created these photo collages. The first one, is items that sold. Colorful pieces, whimsical in design- and many different price ranges.
The second one is pieces that did not sell that you'll end up seeing popping back up in Etsy/and Big Cartel.
Overall the show was great. I did almost as well as I did last year, which really shocked me since it was such a slow start. At any rate, it was a fun time, and I look forward to doing it again next year if they do it again!
